Rieu’s album, which has already been released in to UK, jumped to No. 2 on the U.K. Album Charts and is the first 19th Century music album to ever appear on the pop charts.

“Forever Vienna” is making its American debut on June 29. The album features Rieu’s arrangements of “Strauss & Co, “Wine, Women and Song,” “Carnival Of Venice,” and more.

In support of his latest album, Rieu is bringing his “Celebration of Music” tour to the U.S. this summer. Andre Rieu tickets are currently available for his North American tour in June and November.

Andre Rieu will be performing a 10-city US tour this June 2010.  For the first leg of his US dates, Rieu will stay along the eastern coast with two dates reaching Canada.  His first performance takes place June 18th at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY.  After a month in the States, he heads across the Atlantic to the Netherlands, UK, and Ireland before making the trek to Australia and New Zealand in August. 

As 2010 comes to a close, Andre Rieu tickets will be available again for his return to the US in November for a small stint of dates, so he can do it all over in the coming year.  A complete listing of dates can be found on his official website.

Andre Rieu is a Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer that performs with his Johann Strauss Orchestra.  He has received international acclaim for his revival of waltz music.

Rieu was born into a musical family and began studying violin at age five. Later in life, he studied violin at the Conservatoire Royal in Liège and in the Conservatorium Maastricht. From 1974 to 1977, he attended the Music Academy in Brussels.

Rieu is on tour throughout the U.S. between now and late June.
